In a bold move that blends business success with social purpose, Daffodil Group has announced a long-term pledge to dedicate one-third of its net profit to public welfare and nation-building efforts from 2026 onwards a decision described as a rare milestone in the corporate history of Bangladesh. This commitment was made public on 2 January 2026, during the group’s annual Family Day event at Daffodil Smart City in Savar, where more than 6,500 members of the Daffodil community gathered to mark the occasion.

A vision beyond profit

What makes this announcement stand out is not just the percentage but the thinking behind it. According to Dr. Sabur Khan, the Chairman of Daffodil Group, this is not a one-off donation or a typical CSR campaign — it’s a strategic, sustained national investment that integrates the company’s financial success with social impact. He emphasized that this fund will be used for education and scholarships, youth engagement, job creation, healthcare improvements, social protection, and innovation, turning corporate growth into direct contributions to society.
